What's on at The Canalside Benefice
We are very grateful to the Lion and Fiddle in Hilperton who have given permission for people attending the 8.00am and 10.00am services in St Michael's Church. Parking is also usually available in Hilperton Village Hall, Whaddon Lane. Both are a short walk from the church.
If you like Messy Church, do come to Tea@The Tin in the Tin Church, Horse Road, Hilperton Marsh on October 20th at 4.00pm. For full details, click on Tea @The Tin October 2019.
It is the season of Harvest and there is still an opportunity to celebrate it!
St Michael's Hilperton has a Harvest Communion with Junior Church on October 13th at 11.00am followed by a ploughman's lunch in church. Please sign the list in church if you would like lunch.
There is a Book of Remembrance at St Michael’s. It is a beautiful leather bound book given in memory of Vicky Hunt who died in 2005. Inside the book the names of loved ones are entered by a calligrapher showing their full name, their date of birth and date of death. At the moment the book is kept in the safe but in the near future the intention is that the book will be displayed in a specially made cabinet. Each month the page will be turned to show the names of those who passed away in that month over the years. If you would like to remember someone in this way please see Elizabeth Holyoake (or contact Michael Administrator) and she will give you a form to complete with the necessary details. The cost for each entry in the book is £40.
